Winery, Napa Valley
Practical Application Overcoming Overload
|
|
- In 2002, a large Napa
Valley winery became a customer. Their influent BOD cycled
widely. They were unable to produce a consistent effluent.
- Archaea treatment led
to a consistent 97%+ BOD breakdown, regardless of influent
strength. This performance continues today, four years
later.
- Although dairy wastewater is qualitatively different, the same problems of ongoing slug loads, shocks, and a need for a consistently low BOD effluent are similar.
